About PIN in BiH and Western Balkans:
People in Need (PIN) commenced operations in BiH in 1992 by sending humanitarian workers and supplies to the country. PIN provided immediate and emergency relief to those impacted by the conflict in BiH and later in Kosovo in 1998.
The PIN Representative Office is located in Sarajevo. PIN also has an office in Mostar and plans to open one in Brcko District in the coming weeks. The total volume of the current programs is more than three million USD annually, funded by EU, CSSF/FCDO, CzDA, and other donors.
In the last two decades, PIN implemented projects supporting climate resilience and citizen engagement and minorities rights in the areas of waste management, circular economy, social inclusion, employment and inclusive education.

About the rolePeople in Need is seeking to hire an experienced Project Coordinator for a new multi-year project financed by The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Trust Fund. This project aims to execute five main outcomes related to Methane and Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCP) reduction. Outcome 1 and 3 involve delivering and endorsing a Methane Roadmap and a National SLCP Plan through participatory development, high-level info sessions, advocacy campaigns, and stakeholder capacity building. Outcome 2 focuses on integrating the National SLCP Plan recommendations into the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) and future revised Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). Outcome 4 entails the adoption of a Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) framework for SLCP emissions. Finally, Outcome 5 involves increasing the capacities for SLCP planning and implementation, including workshops and a web platform for knowledge transfer.
This will be a full-time position based in Sarajevo. The anticipated start date is estimated to be on September 1st, 2023.
