Job Description

Zinc Network is a global international development company headquartered in London with a focus on behaviour change and strategic communications. Zinc works with a range of government and private-sector clients to tackle complex social issues and simulate meaningful, measurable, change by working with and through communities and local actors on the ground.

We conceptualise and create award-winning programs, interventions, and campaigns that change the way that people think, feel, and behave across a whole range of pervasive social issues including disinformation and misinformation, violent extremism, poor governance, threats to children and young people’s online safety, gender-based violence and more.

The role:

We seek a Project Manager with expertise or experience in the Western Balkans, to support the delivery of an upcoming project to counter disinformation in the region.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide management, coordination, and technical direction for all activities and outputs, ensuring alignment with the project’s mission, objectives, and Theory of Change.
  • Drafting Monthly and Quarterly Reports
  • Supporting the development of Annual Workplans
  • Staying up to date on the political context and disinformation landscape in the Western Balkans, leveraging deep knowledge of the region itself and the international context it sits within.
  • Facilitating collaborations, workshops, and meetings between diverse stakeholders to support programme activities.
  • Contributing to monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the project.
  • Identify issues and risks associated with project implementation in a timely manner and guide appropriate adjustments.
  • Embody the values of Zinc Network.

Requirements

  • To be based in London or the Western Balkans, with ability to travel in the region as needed.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience of project management supporting the delivery of donor funded international development programmes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Western Balkans required; knowledge of the media landscape and the broader political context in the region is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required; working proficiency in at least one Balkan language is a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of information integrity, disinformation and/or conflict analysis would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project management
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and cooperating with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, and civil society organisations.
  • Prior experience with FCDO operating procedures, regulations, and reporting requirements is preferred.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
